Since you have choices, I'd backup what I can't lose and then boot the CD and take it's choices of an upgrade. You can always format with the XP CD if you so choose, but this is a great way to see if the full XP will do an upgrade and keep you from spending a day in recovery.

I currently have windows 2000, but it is pretty screwed up and I don't have the discs. I purchase the full version of XP and need to install it. What is the best way to do this? Any tips on reformatting my hard drive under windows 2000? Thanks.
