Upgrade from sansa m240

Oct 5, 2007 2:46AM PDT

I need advice on getting an mp3 player. I have a sansa m240 and want something comparable with the following features:
1) aaa battery - MANDATORY
2) fm radio - MANDATORY
3) when turned on - go to spot in song/podcast where turned off
4) FAST fast-forwarding - I hate when it takes forever to get to middle of podcast
5) Ability to delete file directly from player. If I don't like song, I want to erase it right away.
I think the creative zen nano fits most of these. Any suggestions??
I may just get another m240 but the one I have is breaking and don't want to throw away more money.

why AAA?

the Zen Nano isn't much of an "upgrade"
why do you need AAA?
Lithium-Ions are the standard and there are a number of players where you can replace them if they get damaged and the rated battery life can go up to a full day

Why AAA?
I travel a lot and don't want to have adapter to charge player. I'm kind of anal, and don't want to have to check all the time how much battery I have left. I love being able to walk into a convenience store and buy a battery, if I forget to bring my rechargeables.
I love lithiums for my digicam and I bought two backups so don't have to recharge for whole trip. But for the mp3 player I'm still clinging to my aaa recheargeables.
I'd consider a player with a lithium battery only if it'd be easy and cheap to replace and I could take a spare or two with me.

todays flash players, like sony, they have a battery that last like 40 hours... so you can go around the world and still have music hours to spare....

Are you saying that you are not able to see a AC plug for 40 hours?

And looking ahead... its incredibly more expensive to have non-replaceable batteries...
