use a common mobo. The last one was the Socket 7 mobo and the max Intel was the 233 MMX.
In case you are unaware, AMD and Intel don't like each other.
Intel went from Socket 7 to the Slot 1 configuration to get to 100 MHz FSB and would not license AMD to use it. AMD went to super socket 7 for 100 MHz FSB and then to Slot A, and so it continues.
Is it possible to upgrade an AMD Athlon 2800 processor to a Pentium 4 with HT?
The machine is an HP Pavilion a320 with 512 MB of RAM.
