Resolved Question

Upgarding RAM (Laptop)

Jul 4, 2018 7:59AM PDT

Hi,
I have an old laptop having 2GB of RAM. And it's upgradable to 8GB. I'm willing to upgrade it to 4GB, as I use it roughly.

Have a look at the installed RAM's configuration:
Samsung
2GB, 1333MHz, DDR3-1333 PC3-10600, 204pin SODIMM, 1.5v

Now should I buy same brand's RAM? or give me some suggestion.

TIA Happy

We always recommend - if you have 2 sticks - they be of exactly the same maker and model. If you can find those, it's fine. If not, buy 2x2GB and get rid of the old one.

Avoid at all costs mixing make, model, size RAM sticks. If you can't get the seller to tell you it's compatible and won't take returns, use crucial.com.
