i have AMD athlon xp 2600+,asus A7V400MX,256 MB RAM,Nvidia geforce fx 5200 graphics Cards shoud i upgrade my RAM to 2 GB or get a new system

ADM athlon 64 X2 3600+,Asus M2N MX,1 GB RAM

What do you use this system for?

If it's things like web browsing, email, maybe typing a letter... Typical desktop sorts of things, I'd just increase the RAM to about 1GB.

If you do a lot of gaming, or maybe high end video or photo editing type things... Then it might be worth getting the new system.

I think adding memory to 1 Gb might be sufficient, 2 Gb will surely do. No need to buy a whole new PC for this.

Are you sure all your applications and games are Vista compatible? You wouldn't like to go back to XP if things didn't work, I assume.
