Updating the BIOS

Is it possible to change the CMOS language of a PC using the BIOS Update utility e.g. updating a German BIOS with an English update?

Probably

But I'd ask the makers of the BIOS before attempting it. I also wouldn't even bother updating the BIOS unless you were being hit by a bug you can specifically trace to the BIOS.

I would make sure from the company

I was trying to research this. Someone had a Bios update and their computer was running faster, etc... and then I think it messed it up. I read the company replaced it.

Some computers allow and some may not.

Since you do not know what computer and OS you have, you'll have to check with nthe company that made your computer. They may even have a download for different languages.
