Updating Intel Graphics Drive - Screen Went Black. HELP!

Dec 12, 2003 8:31AM PST

Hi...I was trying to update my son's computer graphics settings. He has an HP Pavillion with an Intel Graphics Card. We needed to be able to use True Color 32-bit.

I downloaded the latest Intel driver, installed it, went into the Properties portion of the Intel Graphics icon and changed the settings. Now the screen went black! Nothing shows up.

Is there a way to undo what I did? I seem to remember once being able to hit one of the "F" keys when turning on the computer to get into Setup to change settings; but I forget how.

Can anyone please help me? Thanks.

My wife's computer has Intel Integrated (on board) graphics with the 82810 chipset. The highest color she can get is 16 bit or 24 bit. Some games require 32 bit and nothing can be done. Some info/links you may be interested in regarding Intel's 82810/82815 integrated graphics chipsets and other integrated graphs chipset as pertains to gaming (non):

Integrated graphics can be upgraded with a PCI card and some have slots on the MB to switch over to AGP.
