Updating Firefox

Using XP Home.

Every time I check for updates to Firefox I get this error mesage.

Firefox encountered problems when trying to find updates for some items.

Details:

Error

Firefox could not check for updates to the following component (either the update server(s) did not respond, or the update services were not found.

Firefox (default)

Any ideas

I click on the link below and look at the number listed there.:

Like you, I've had a few problems with the standard update check. Recently though, especially in the newest Firefox 1.0.6, I haven't experienced the issue. In addition, I prefer to uninstall the previous version before installing the new one. To me, it's just as easy to check the link above.
