Adobe Flash Player 15.0.0.167 for Windows Internet Explorer (ActiveX)

Today's release resolves an issue in which some end users, when attempting to watch video from certain websites, experienced a failure to play the video, or an error message. This release contains a fix that should significantly reduce the prevalence of video playback failure on sites where this problem previously occurred.

Today's release is for Flash Player for Microsoft Internet Explorer (ActiveX) only.

Current Flash Player users that have enrolled in the "Allow Adobe to install updates (recommended)" update option will receive this release automatically and silently within 24 hours. Users that have selected the "Notify me to install updates" update option will receive an update notification dialog within 7 days from today. Windows users will need to restart their system or log out and in to receive the notification dialog.

Microsoft is announcing the availability of an update for Adobe Flash Player in Internet Explorer on all supported editions of Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, Windows RT, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 R2, and Windows RT 8.1. The update addresses issues in Adobe Flash Player by updating the affected Adobe Flash libraries contained within Internet Explorer 10 and Internet Explorer 11.
