This Belarc Advisor Security Definitions Update installs the latest version of the Belarc Advisor's security definitions which includes all Microsoft security bulletins through September 13, 2005. This update ensures that the System Security Status panel in the computer profile report reflects the true number of missing Microsoft Security Updates.

Update Tips:

-Click on the ''Click Here to Update'' icon.
-Select ''Open'' if using IE.
-The Update will automatically install, build a new profile of your computer, and display this in your Web browser.

Note by me. This should have been posted on the 13th, I have been busy and forgot about it so I'm posting it today. My apologies for that. Another note, this is NOT a new version of Belarc, it is just a monthly update as explained above.

Another Note in installing Windows Messenger 5.1.0701
by Donna Buenaventura / September 17, 2005 6:47 AM PDT

Reboot is required IF the Windows Messenger 5.1 setup detected running programs/applications are using files that the setup needs to update.

If you prefer NOT to reboot, you need to end the detected program by closing it or ending its task using Task Manager>Processes tab.

Important Note: If it detected, Explorer.EXE (Windows Explorer), do not end the task of Explorer.EXE or else the TaskBar will be closed.

Suggested Action: Simply click Continue and allow a reboot Grin
