Like you say the website is not yet updated and still showing a Free download of 7.1.361. My program updater is showing no updates available for me.
Seems to be same old story where the announce updates and are unprepared to make them available. This is frustrating at best. Guess I'll wait and hope someday the updater works as designed.

actually state it on the website. The "Paid" users get the updates before the "free" users. This is NOT ALWAYS the case but is usually what happens. The regular website IS showing the update now but they have it as
"Program update AVG 7.0.362
New recommended program update is available for download.
October 27, 2005"

I THINK it should read 7.1.362. They had it wrong on the website the other day also when they listed the previous one as 7.0.361 when it should have been 7.1.361.

I had already visited the website and saw what you saw. I've used this software for a long time and know how it works... or doesn't work 
. Maybe one day they will get it right without all the aggravation.

Have AVG Pro. I was not offered the 7.1.361 Upgrade via auto updater, so did a manual download yesterday morning.
I uninstalled 7.0.344 and did a clean install of 7.1.361 updated and ran a scan, nothing found.
Just awhile ago AVG auto updated to AVI 267.12.5.150 but nothing on 7.1.362 upgrade.
Maybe I need to go back to the Free Version, still have a year remaining on the Pro Version.

When they offered the 7.1.361 last week, I am lucky to get it soon using the updater (for the licensed and freeware versions).
When they offered today the 7.1.362, I only managed to get for the licensed version. I only received 7.1.362 for the free version after Glenn posted. It's also via updater.
Strange that you have to do a clean install
Are you using their backup URL update server or no? I am using their backup URL server. Not sure if that is a trick. I only have 2 URL as update server.
