[quote]
A new scanner executable has been released via LiveUpdate.

TrojanHunter.exe MD5: 6c31c51ae9a1d99bb0897bb1eec06149

This fixes a bug that would cause the scanner to hang on CAB files that spanned multiple volumes.

Ad-Aware 2007 options settings revert to default
by Harv / October 22, 2007 1:13 PM PDT

I'm using Ad-Aware 2007 paid version. Whenever I set the options, they revert to the default setting after I log out of the application. The option selections "take" just for the session that Ad-Aware is open. Then, I always have to reset them when I open Ad-Aware the next time. I click on Save after selecting or deselecting option items, but the settings won't "stick" from one session to another. Confused

Harv, I don't see that problem in free version
by Donna Buenaventura / October 22, 2007 8:05 PM PDT

I suggest to report it to their support so they will fix it for paid users.

They have known issue only in settings of Ad-watch not saved but not known in Ad-aware program itself (unless it is reported in their forums which I have not check/search).

"How can I save my Ad-Watch settings?

This problem relates to Ad-Watch not saving the settings if it is terminated at Windows shutdown. The settings are saved when manually closing Ad-Watch. This has been resolved in the current version. Please download the latest version from the Support Center or https://secure.lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php. You may also update the software from the Web Update menu in Ad-Aware 2007. Download the updates and then restart Ad-Aware and Ad-Watch."

Is it possible that deactivating Ad-Watch is the problem?
by Harv / October 23, 2007 6:32 AM PDT

The application is of no use to me, as I have other ones which offer the same protection. So, I turned Ad-Watch off. I emailed Lava Soft Support about the problem. Hopefully, they will be able to provide a solution.

Thanks for the help. Happy

Not sure if it's the ad-watch Harv :( but you can try to...
by Donna Buenaventura / October 23, 2007 6:50 AM PDT

enable Ad-watch (load Ad-watch) then configure your Ad-aware 2007 again while the Ad-watch is running.

Restart Ad-aware (not the ad-watch) then see if the settings is stored?
If no, I think disabling ad-watch is not the cause.

Yep! It's not Ad-Watch blocking the saved options.
by Harv / October 24, 2007 6:38 AM PDT

Thanks for your suggestion Donna. Guess I'll have to wait for a response from the Lava Soft Support team. Happy

Meet the drop-resistant Moto Z2 Force

The Moto Z2 Force is really thin, with a fast processor and great battery life. It can survive drops without shattering.
