UPDATES - May 18, 2005

by roddy32 / May 17, 2005 8:44 PM PDT
CCleanerv1.19.108 - 18th May 2005

If you already have CCleaner installed, you can click on the program and it should tell you that there is a new version and will ask you if you want to visit the website and download it. There is no need to uninstall the old one first. This will overwrite the old one so your settings and cookies that you have saved will stay the same.
What's New

by tobeach / May 18, 2005 3:15 PM PDT

aware of the program for a long time & even downloaded last year but old comp died before installing. Waited 'til now to become more comfortable with XP Pro (after 98SE) and in 24 hours have come to wonder how I survived before ! Even seems to have taken out a file that was causing reboots and scans to"recover from major error"(MSs words). Atleast none since !! Fabulous ! Happy

Can someone set me straight with AVG?
by zeebell / May 18, 2005 12:58 PM PDT

Gateway 400 Select PC; 160MB RAM; Windows 98SE; IE 6SP1

I'm totally confused (LOL)! I went online about 30 minites ago and before checking my email do what I always do --- checked for AVG updates.

I did get 2 updates, but then again, I'm not sure if I did or not. The first update was a file size of 2501. something; the second was 615. something. They both did the normal routine and said updates were completed successfully. The 2501 update did require a restart which I did. My question ----- the #'s in the right hand corner have not changed. It shows 7.0.322 266.11.12 and a date of 5/17/05. That's also what it showed after the 2501. update.

After checking here for today's updates, it looks like the 7.0.322 266.11.12 is dated 5/18.

Am I protected or not? I even went to grisoft's site and I was just as confused there.

Thank you.

Julea
