Question re: XP Pro SP1 (original).affected....

When it says "XP Pro SP2" does that mean just newer XP that came from factory with SP2, or Pro that came w/SP1 to which SP2 (complete) has been added. or SP1 with some SP2 (Feb/04 disc)? Would SP1 without further patches be affected?? I guess I mean is this issue caused by SP2 partial or complete and which part of SP2 would one need to be affected? Much confused! TIA Roddy32! Confused

Just go to Windows Update Tobeach, when

it scans, IF you need it, Windows Update will tell you that you need it, if you don't need it, it will tell you that nothing is available for you which would mean that you don't need it. This update has to do with Windows Firewall that came with SP2. Go to the Windows Update website itself instead of the Windows Family update page and that way you will know for sure.
