Won't update
by Basil Hall / December 17, 2004 10:03 AM PST
In reply to: Adobe Acrobat Update

I have Adobe Reader 6.0.2 CE and downloaded the 6.0.3 update. When I tried to install I got a pop-up which told me I had to have Adobe Reader 6.0.2 before it would install the update. I have 6.0.2, so has anyone any idea what the problem is.

Hi Basil

In reply to: Won't update

That is strange. I did this update a couple of days ago and saw a notice that anyone that had either 6.0.0 or 6.0.1 had to use the update function in the application itself to update to 6.0.2 and THEN do the manual update to 6.0.3 which is what you are doing now because you already have 6.0.2 so I have no idea why it is not working. My suggestion would be to use the update in the application and see what it says, then try the other one again. Just in case you have never used it before, open the application and on the top where it says "Help", scroll down and hit updates and see what happens.

In reply to: Hi Basil

I uninstalled 6.0.2 and reinstalled 6.0.1, which I had stored in my download folder, and went through the procedures you outlined.

Thanks Roddy

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
