Can't help but comment on how great it is to get these update notices in the forum as well as Calendar of Updates. I realize that some prgrams have an automatic update feature but not all. Thanks to you I just updated AVG and thanks to C of U, I updated WinPatrol.

The 4553 dat files have been released early due to an incorrect
identification in the 4552 dat files.

The 4553 dat files are incorrectly identifying some partition sectors as
being infected with Rewrit.b Trojan.

If you are not seeing this incorrect identification within your environment
there is no need to update your dat files to this new release.

Overview
The Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool checks Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Windows Server 2003 computers for and helps remove infections by specific, prevalent malicious software?including Blaster, Sasser, and Mydoom. When the detection and removal process is complete, the tool displays a report describing the outcome, including which, if any, malicious software was detected and removed. The tool creates a log file named mrt.log in the %WINDIR%\debug folder.

This tool is not a replacement for an anti-virus product. To help protect your computer, you should use an anti-virus product.
