Hi,

If you are not using Windows XP SP2 RC2 (it is a beta version of the Service Pack for XP), you will not be able to see v5. Windows Update v5 and XP SP2 RC2 are for beta-testers only. Not recommended to production system or system that anyone cannot afford to lose.

Just go to Windows Update - http://www.windowsupdate.com which should detect that patches/updates for your current system or applications.

If you visit the winupd site and allow it to scan and it shows the update for your machine then you have V5.

or

Visit the winupd and allow it to scan while watching the bottom of the screen (just above the start button) what I see is V4.something.something.

I would think that if I had V5 it would say V5.something.something
