Updated iTunes crashes on Microsoft 7 OS

iTunes 12.9.4.102 crashes on Microsoft 7OS. Itunes could not resolve & referred me to Microsoft. I've tried opening iTunes in safe mode with the same problem

iTunes crash on Windows 7 Professional

In reply to: So is there anything more you can tell us about this W7?

Windows 7 Professional is my operating system, & has been updated. I uninstalled iTunes & reinstalled
version 12.9.4.102 from the website.

The program was working fine until last week. A DMP file is created on my desktop after each crash.

I don't know how to sync my iPhone without using this program & would appreciate any help.

So that wasn't done. I can't guess why your system is the odd one. Any more clues to share and why not Ninite? And here I didn't uninstall either.

As to the crash, there's nothing from you to work with. No error code or if this is Windows 7 or Windows 7 SP1. I had a fellow that refused to install updates. His computer was a mess. I couldn't help them.

I was told that the latest iTunes update requires Windows 10, so guess I'll have to update. Thanks for your help

Not from what I read or know.

https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ only notes Windows 7. I will write I expect SP1 to be installed but there are some that block Windows Updates and end up with troubles like yours.

I have one old laptop that was out in the field and missed the W10 free update so later in about 2 weeks I'll see that laptop and update iTunes on it. I'm tracking this thread.

The old W7 SP1 laptop came home.

I used Ninite.com to install iTunes without any problem. Just a few things to note:
1. I used an Admin capable user account.
2. The machine is in very stock trim. No blocking of Microsoft Updates.
3. The machine is in top condition. No known issues, trojans, hacks or such.
