"Update Table of Figures" / pages dialog box - Windows 2002

Can anyone provide info. on how to disable an automatic "Update to Table of Figures" dialog box in Windows 2002/03? Before I open the actual document in Word, a dialog box to update the pages in the Table of Figures requires me to press cancel.

I'm a win Xp user so I don't know anything about Win2002/03.

But I'm not sure what you mean by "Update to Table of Figures". Is this a Windows 2002/2003 feature? Or is it a Microsoft Office Excel spreadsheet?

If it is an Excel file, then the spreadsheet has some links in it to another spreadsheet somewhere, which it is asking if you want to update the values from that other spreadsheet whenever you open it.

If it "is" that, then there is little you can do except search each cell in the spreadsheet for a link to an outside spreadsheet, and delete it. But that would most likely destroy any calculations the spreadsheet you have that are based on the links.
