Update bug help!

My pc have decided to Update a lot for the moment. I start my computer up and it gets stuck at 89%. Then it restarts and continues to stay at 89%. When it has done the same stuff Four times, it says: could not fulfill the Update, regrets update. It takes 1 hour in total to do this Update. Im getting sick and tired of it. I need a kind spirit, to help me out. Thanks

No OS noted, no exact update, etc.

I've seen this on malware infested machines but there's not enough detail to get started. Here's a Microsoft link on update failures.

These are one of thousands so it's all about more clues.

The usual solution:
1. Turn off automatic updates.
2. In IE go to Tools>Windows update
3. Download and install the 'requited' updates one by one. If a certain one fails: skip it for the moment, but note the KB-number and the error code for later research.
4. Don't download optional and other updates.
Which one(s) fail?
