Question

Unwanted Transparent Link "Coating" Almost Every Web Page

Jan 21, 2015 8:05PM PST

This is my explanation of a bad web problem I've long been getting:

Within the past 6-8 weeks, an unidentified/unwanted web plugin seems to installed as I was downloading, installing or running freeware or shareware.
It seems to keep putting a transparent cyberlink on each web page so that when I try to click a chosen link, it not only doesn't open to preferred web page but instead tries to open an unwanted page until I close that page and return to the source page to wait for the mouse pointer to correctly access the chosen link (when the mouse finally shows the pointed finger on it).
Here is a list of some of unwanted pages it tries to open (until manually exited or interrupted):
stamplive.com
terdir.com
trkur.com
youradexchange.com

How can I eliminate such a transparent link so I can more easily access the chosen link that will proceed to the correct page? I've tried malware scans and cleaned the registry, but the problem continues.

My OS is Win 7-Home Premium and my default browser is IE v11.

Junk/adware etc.

These items sound like ad on items, you could check in Explorer to see if they are on the list and enabled, if they are, you could disable them. But for removal, one thing to try would be to run a Malwarebytes scan in Safe Mode with Networking, see if MWB picks them up and then attempt removal...Of course you'll need to have the MWB download in the system, it is a free download and quite easy to use.
