Unwanted Tool Bar Removal

by Southern_Lady957 / May 28, 2004 10:10 PM PDT

A toolbar has appeared on my computer, it happened when my daughter was using the computer and of course I get the "I don't know Mom!" answer from her. I have searched and search with no luck. I am also getting porn pop-ups. I've had this new computer 4 months and never had pop-ups until I got home Thursday night. I feel like an idiot not being able to find the culprit, but I don't know where else to turn. Can anyone help? It would be greatly appreciated.

Don't use that word that starts with the letter "i." You've asked and that's a smart move.

The web article at not only is a quick education on these new pests, but offers explanations about why the Antivirus doesn't flag such and lists the removal tools.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
