Unwanted Auto Scroll on my List.

by forvend / September 11, 2006 7:51 AM PDT

Hi everyone,

I have a problem with windows xp. I have aprox. 10,000 mp3's within 1 folder. When I scroll through the list, within a few minutes the screen will reset(like it is refreshing)and scroll back to the beginning of the list. This happens every time. I do not have any downloading program sending information to that folder so, that is not the issue. It is a RAID drive but, it seemed to never have this problem until the list got so large. Is there a auto refresh in windows xp on a certain amount of files? Or do you have any ideas??

Try another file browser that doesn't do that.

I'm not exactly sure on what new file browser to use because I have been using windows since day one. I believe you mean like firefox or mozilla browsers correct? If so, which would you recommend? Also there is no way that I could actually go into windows registry (or whatever) and physically change that option? I would prefer keeping windows if possible since I know my way around it fairly well now.
