Question

unsubscribe from new version updates

Apr 17, 2015 7:44PM PDT

I get alert emails from CNET giving me updates of software that I have downloaded from CNET over the years, some of these apps are no longer on my system so wish to unsubscribe from these particular update alerts. I click the unsubscribe link and I am taken to my personal page but there seems to be no info as to these particular alerts for me to unsubscribe from them. Am I missing something, It appears I am only subscribed to "download weekly" and "download insider", which I wish to keep, but there does not seem to be a link for the particular app update alerts. Any Ideas?

You probably got other stuff you don't want too.

I just got one today. Near the bottom it says "Unsubscribe me from receiving alerts for this product.", with unsubscribe being a blue link. Doesn't it in your alerts?

If it does, just wait for the next alert for a particular product, and click that.

Hi there...

Try this.

Go here to your CNET profile page:
http://www.cnet.com/profiles/Watsisname/my-subscriptions/#download-watchlist

Note: You will have to relog into CNET to access this private page.

This is where all your Download.com Watchlist items are stored. From this page you can manage your list and remove items. Removing items should unsubscribe you from receiving updates on apps.

Let me know if that works for you.

Cheers!

Thank you Lee Koo, I managed to find the page and removed unwanted updates. I was not taken straight there as the link suggests, but there was a tab for it on my profile page I had never noticed before.
