Unstable back button

by lfs2ezy / May 17, 2009 3:49 AM PDT

I have Premium Home Vista on my computer and use Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 for accessing Internet. Sometimes the back button inadverently activates. frequently I fill out forms or applications online and the button, without my clicking it, reverts back to point before I started to type. If I have not saved the text, I have to start over again. Is there a solution for this problem?

Are you talking about a physical button or is it like you're having phantom clicks on the browser back button?

These are phantom clicks. I am typing and suddenly the previous window appears. Other times I click on a link and I taken there. Once I am there the window where I clicked on the link reappears.

I'd agree that uninstalling and reinstalling is probably your best bet here. Also, you might try reinstalling the drivers for your keyboard/track pad.
