I'm running into folk that don't know or have forgotten that Windows is just the OS and not all that we need to have a good working Windows PC. Now if you had that Microsoft Surface that is different since Microsoft plays favorites and gets all the drivers for you.
-> Again, if we install Windows we are never sure that we have the right set of drivers and apps. Apps? Yes, Apps. My laptop has apps for control of the WiFi, LAN, Bluetooth, brightness and more. If I load Windows and the drivers my WiFi is off. I have to finish the install with the maker's machine specific apps.

Sometimes my usb ports are delayed to turn on when windows starts up (particularly on a restart) but today I unplugged my headset because whenever I plug my headset in it doesn’t activate my mic first go (was not always an issue but is always an issue now), and then my wifi dongle just completely disconnected, as did my keyboard and mouse. It was like all my usb ports just turned off. Any ideas why? Anything would be appreciated.
I’m at a loss with my PC since resetting a few months back. I had reinstalled a fresh copy of windows and I still seem to have weird issues that I never had when I bought the PC.
