Is the rule about posting in other languages now defunct?

To me the issue is understandability, Evie.
not a punitive attempt to scrub out any trace of foreign languages on the forums, as some here seem to be interpreting it. After all, he says "will be reviewed and appropriate action taken," not "will be summarily removed!" ~ DaveK
It's too bad deleted posts don't even show up in search anymore. She has more to her repetoire here in SE, and if the Mods were paying any attention at all, the Spanglish taunt to Mark would have been pulled post haste, but that's another issue I suppose.

The discussion at the time was extensive. Lee's final answer was definitive. All of the Mods were either regulars or Mods at the time. How is it y'all have such short memories?
Since you would have understood it, apparently, I don't see why the German should be deleted in 5 seconds but the Spanish blend would be OK.

because your 80% pidgin spanglish 'Subject title' was understood by (probably) 80% of the SE regulars
the same 'subject title' in 100% german would be understood by (maybe) 5%, and as such, would be history.....
