Mar 24, 2005 6:15PM PST

I recently purchase a unlocked motorola razor v3 phone and had a prepaid sim card from tmobile and works great. Now i activated the phone with Cingular and everything works fine except aol instant message and the internet.. I went to a Cingular store and the sales man configed the phone for me and the internet worked for the first day and now it will not work but my mms and text messaging are working fine. But aol instant messaging will not work at all so if anyone has got it to work or has the sofware that is needed or the configuration that is needed please help me...

You might try calling to customer service to speak with technical support. The settings might be setup in the Motorola phone but there are some additional settings that need to be configured by Cingular through the technical settings in the billing system. Your internet transport settings in the Cingular system might not be configured.

Also Unlocked V3 with no Internet

I have the same issue. Unlocked Motorola V3, that works great except for MMS and Internet (to include no link to Webmedia.) I assume it is because it has never been flashed/configured by a Cingular store. Customer support was helpful on the phone, and tried to flash my phone but I never got the file.

software upgrade

If you have an unlock phone you might need a software update, you can send it to Motorola (go to motorola.com repair) and send it to them for a software upgrade. Most of these phones come from europe or asia and they are different software version

Can Cingular do the update?

Sorry, most retail stores no longer have the equipment to do software updates. The stores would normally refer you to the warranty group for asst.

If you have a V3 the phone will not work with aol or T-mobile home page it will work with Yahoo ok now, after talking to t-mobile, ck this out by doing this Http://wap.yahoo.com on your URL and see if it will conector to the web i did and it work for me.
