Unlimited Online FTP

by THUNDERxRAGE / July 7, 2007 2:37 PM PDT

BlueHost is the only web host that does this. No other places ever offer it. I just recently switched to LunarPages, because of 28% discount off of my 2 years package with $700 free softwares. However, LunarPages does not offer the online FTP that is done on a web page.

I would like to know how to make the FTP on a web page, instead of using a program on the computer? I want to set up something that I can login to my account on a web page and it brings up a page of FTP that is connected to the account.

is either "ftp.domain.com" or "ftp://domain.com" ... try and see if you can access it like that.

Found some info...

Nah, the suggested method doesn't work. LunarPages doesn't offer FTP, so I have to use a third-party program. I did email LunarPages of advising them to invest in the UnlimitedFTP feature, which can be found at...

http://unlimitedftp.ca/products/unlimitedftp/

I'm not sure which BlueHost uses, but they got it from there and intregrated it into the FTP Manager on the cPanel.

It is kinda expensive, so I would like to know if anyone know where I can find something similar for free or for much lower price? Anyone know the codings?

The listed site is seriously expensive... LoL

I have a Lunarpages account and if you open up "My Computer" and type in ftp://yourdomainname.com into the top bar it will work. If your not logged in, then right click and select "login as" and type in your ftp username and password. If this doesn't work please respond back with your results. Best of luck!
