UNKNOWN artist info and songs?

My friend burned me a copy of her cold play album. When I download all of the music to my windows media player it comes up as unknown? And none of the songs are labeled and the disc is not labeled as well. There is no information about anything. Not the artist ?cold play? and none of the songs?etc
Everything just comes up as UNKNOWN.
Does anyone have any idea how to make either itunes, windows media or any other juke box recognize all the album art and info on the songs?.etc?
