If your bose system uses an RF remote (you do not have to point it at the system)there are NO universal remotes I am familiar with that would be able to operate the system.
Many "learning" remotes offer both IR and RF capability, but that is for sending the signal, not to operate an RF device. They will usually have an optional accessory to receive RF from the remote, which would then convert the signal back to IR to send to your equipment. This is handy if your gear is in another room or behind cabinet doors.
Just another reason why many do not like Bose.
I am looking for a Universal Remote to use with digital cable and Bose Lifestyle 12 II. I read somewhere that the Logitech Harmony 890 does not carry the Bose radio frequencies. A Bose technician claimed there were no after-market products.
