That's an industry that is all about you. If you are pleasant and do good work, that's about all it takes to keep busy.
I too have used a car spa treatment. Every few years I let them at my wife's car. I do my own as need be but these car spas do a bit more and all at one time. My method is to deep vac one day then shampoo the next, then next weekend more work so she won't get the instant tadah effect from me.
Last year i started a little tire shop, when I say little I mean very small. I have one bay, no hydraulic lifts and we use 4 heavy duty floor jacks to lift and remove tires. Business is good. Business is so good that I am looking to expand my services.
Ok. Right now the margin on tires is not that much. I make a profit but its not that substantial. I want to add services but also want to create a unique niche in the process.
Hear me out. I want to create a car club. Not the car club that gives you images of low riders and neon lights. I mean something that will make people feel apart of something. Let me explain and tell me if you agree...
I have always been hearing about be "unique", stand out from the crowd, think outside the box and be a trailblazer. A car club is thinking outside the box. A car club where I will only specialize in servicing a specific make or model. Mechanics do it all the time. I take my Acura to a guy that only works on Hondas and Acuras and it seems to me that he is content with only working a particular manufacturer. I want to my model my business in that manner but call it it car club. We will do tires. Tint. Detail...an auto spa if you will.
What do you think? Do you think it will work
