General discussion

unique feature set

Oct 22, 2005 3:12AM PDT

Hi folks, I'm looking for an mp3 player with a unique feature set, hoping someone can recommend something...

okay, I need:

1. A player with the largest screen possible.

2. A player that can hold photos, and can assign a photo to a song, so the photo is displayed when the song plays.

3. Enough memory for at least 1000 songs and 3-400 photos.

4. The unit has a compact flash card reader.

5. The unit costs under $250.

Any ideas? Thanks.

I picked up an older laptop and for $166 it meets your list.

However I bet that something was omitted on your list.

laptop is too big...no, it needs to be an mp3 player.

I mean the screen should be big for an mp3 player...are there any mp3 players that would do what I'm asking?

any other ideas? I need a player that can hold at least 1000 songs, a compact flash reader, bigger than average screen. Forget the photo storage...what might do it? Anyone?

Not likely.

Compact flash is the killer here. Look at the market and you find zero CF players.

iPod Nano

Has the following:
4Gb Flash (Plenty of room for 1000 songs)
Screen, albeit not that large
Photo capability
No CF Reader though
OR
The iPod with Video
but that's not flash memory
