Uninstalling Windows Vista 64 bit

Jan 10, 2008 1:58AM PST

Hi,

I made the mistake of installing Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit version on my machine. Now I want to uninstall it. When I put my Windows XP disk and boot from the CD drive, after it loads everything I get to the window where you have to pick what partition you want it in and so fourth. Anyway, it doesn't show any hard drive or partitions and I can't get pass that without getting a "blue screen" saying that a serious problem has happened and windows is shutting down and to report thia problem to your computer guy blah, blah, blah.

Is there anyway to get Vista out of my computer and back to XP? Should I go out and get another hard drive?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
Paul Jones

I don't see any make or model. I wonder if you have a SATA hard disk there and forgot how to let XP know about it.
