by R.B.P. / February 16, 2004 12:16 AM PST

Do yourself a favor1 switch ti McAfee antivi & firewall . SYMANTEC/NORTON the NEW 2004 aantivi scatters files all over the regisrty. very difficult to remove . Even norton support TECH 2 level could not help me remove it. I wanted to get rid of it because you can not do full systen backups with norton 2004. I removed the program myself after a 5 hr ordeal in the registry. Purchase McAfee quickclean program, also Add/Remove PLUS 2004 program.YOU WILL BE VERY glad you took my advice. NORTON has made thier program very difficult to remove because McAfee is taking over in this feild, norton is trying to stop fence jumpers !!!

Another really good anti-virus program is AVG. It is a tiny program and does the scan in like 20 mins. I dumped Norton's too, it is a resource hog and it took almost 50 mins to scan. AVG is free and you can get it here at the downloads section.

I hear that-- i used to love norton back in the win 3.1 days, but norton system works caused me more trouble than it fixed. a real resource grabber. especially the "antifreeze." yeesh.

I am not a real mcafee fan, though, as trying to get THAT off your machine is like getting gum off your shoe. I am running free copy of zone alarm right now for firewall and it works great, no conflicts so far. -- fj

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
