Uninstalling and reinstalling Works Suite 2005

by kinseeker / August 21, 2005 2:21 AM PDT

Edward gave me a great webpage for instructions to do labels with works, for some reason when I go to tools after opening the program labels is not an option and I know it was with my older version of works. Do I need to uninstall works and reinstall it? I have a few things from works saved in my documents so will they be safe if I uninstall works? Thanks

will be safe only if you back them up to a CD or somewhere else. Sounds like a reinstall will be in order. But AFTER you back your docos up. Knowing the versions and whether or not to applied all updates would have helped.

see if you can simply start the installation and get an option to add components.

Some of the tools might not have been installed.

you don't have the disks. For next time, when you purchase a new computer with pre-loaded software the store you baught it from is supposed to provide you with a complete set of 'recovery' disks. If they don't want to you need to buy it somewhere else. Chances are they are doing something illegal. If your computer is less than a year old and you have the receipt, bring it to them and try to get the 'recovery disks'. This should be made easier if the receipt shows the pre-loaded software. Good luck!

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
