Uninstalled Program keeps trying to reinstall on it's own

Aug 15, 2007 5:25AM PDT

I had a program called counterspy an antispyware program that I uninstalled a few days ago and now I keep getting windows installer opening and trying to install this program every time I open certain programs: my email clients; outlook express and thunderbrid also when I open Pando and my removable drive anyone know what's going on?

Of course I cancel it and restarts and I cancel it and it restarts so I have to let it load so that it can't find the installer for the program and ask me for the location several times be fore it gives up. But once I open one of the above listed programs it starts all over.

Is counter spy still listed in add/remove and/or in start all programs?

Is it is try removing in safe mode, and also try deleting the folder in C:\windows\downloads installed folder and C:\Program Files\Sunbelt Software\CounterSpy Client

Maybe you can reinstall, then try again.

I'll not duplicate long posts about it or how to use it. But here's the tool and the words you type into google.com

MICROSOFT INSTALLER CLEANUP UTILITY

Good luck,
