Uninstall wizard does not start

I'm trying to reinstall all my canon stuff and when I go to uninstall some of the programs it does the normal thing where it says it is getting ready for the uninstall and something about uninstall wizard will open after that(something to the effect of that) and the uninstall wizard does not open following that as it should so obviously as a result there is no uninstall. Any help with this?

Thank you, greg

If You Have Your Canon Install Disk, Possibly.....

In reply to: Uninstall wizard does not start

doing a temporary re-install might replace the missing (?) un-installer?
Then you could do a full un-install to start a clean install?

Possibly a broken link to un-installer? Perhaps you could right click C: (or other drive as appropriate) and use Explore>Program Files>Canon> and see if a un-installer.exe is there? I prefer to use only explore command (rather than OPEN) when I'm just looking. Happy

Tried that and it just tells me that the program is already installed and that it doesn't need to be reinstalled. I checked there isnt actually any uninstall executable for the programs that wont uninstall. Would renaming the Canon folder to ~Canon work to successfully install those programs that wont uninstall(meaning the installer creates a new Canon folder)? If so could I copy the uninstall.exe from the newly installed program folder to the corresponding old program folder so that I can uninstall the old program that doesn't have the uninstall.exe?

Hmmm..Not Sure. Might Depend on....

WHAT PART of program is remaining.
I installed from Fuji(with new camera) and it created a 2nd (new)Internet network connection (Always ON & Bypassing Firewall!!!!) supposedly for allowing constant access if I wanted to use as web cam or to host my pics to the net. Kinda like P2P Limewire.
When I freaked and did un-install. it left the connection (live)!
Un-installed the rest. Had to remove via CP>Network connections.

I like the idea of copy/paste the un-installer from "new program exe"
if one is there but not in "old version". Don't know if that's recommendable or even possible. Or re-naming current one to "OLD"?
Need someone to jump in more techie than myself...:-)
