Uninstall the USB driver

Jul 25, 2007 7:44AM PDT

Hi,

I installed the USB driver (e.g ABC) and unintalled it in the device manager successfully. When I connected the USB cable and try to install USB another driver( e.g DFG), it keeps asking me to install
the old ABC driver. Please help how to uninstall the ABC driver comlpletely.

Thank you.

Is it possible that NEW USB Drivers DFG Requires information/paths/settings contained in the ABC drivers to function??
Possible that DFG adds to/ overwrites (formerly) existing ABC Drivers by design? It wants both so it can handle USB 1 & USB 2 connection requests (which ever is called for)? Just a W.A.G. Good luck! Happy

The device you connect ...

tells Windows what driver it wants, to a certain extent. And you can't vary beyond those needs.

Better tell what device it is (including make and model) and what ABC and DEF stand for.
