Uninstall / Registry Fairy?

by rsmith / June 24, 2004 6:56 AM PDT

I have been doing a lot of testing lately with my XP pro SP2 (beta). And lets just say its really killing my machine. Registry errors, leftover program directories the works!!!

I need to find a good uninstall and registry program to help my machine until I due a full reinstall of the OS. What fun thats going to be....

Is there a registry program that searches for corrupted registry keys or keys that are not in use anymore?

Anyone have any suggestions?

thanks Romeo

There are many such applications, and I personally use Registry Mechanic and ToniArts Easy Cleaner, the latter being freeware. I paid up for the full version of Registry Mechanic, and find it neat and easy to use, with excellent technical support, if required.
I would recommend caution with some of the free cleaners, which can be rather violent if given a loose rein! Of course, always back up your essential stuff before meddling with registry.
