Uninstall Norton

In CNET at work today 7 Sep 04 the easy answer is 1. Uninstall from Control Panel Add/Delete reboot; SEARCH for Norton adn uninstall all norton left overs;
Search for Symantec and remove all leftovers
REBOOT and U are empty of Norton and Symantec
