For the second straight year... Vermont topped the rankings, followed by Hawaii, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Utah, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Idaho and Maine.
With the recent announcement that Huntington, WV was the unhealthiest city in the country, I was pleasantly surprised to see my home state was not included in the bottom 10 unhealthy states.
It was also interesting to see Nevada on the bottom list. Ironically, I was a smoker when I used to go out to the South West to mountain bike and back pack about 15 years ago. Whenever I would stop to buy a pack of cigarettes in Arizona or Colorado, I would get a lot of condemning looks and comments from the remarkably fit and trim crowd that made up a large part of the population out there. I guess maybe it is Las Vegas and Reno that has dragged down Nevada
