undesirable desktop icons keep appearing

by dllfb / May 1, 2005 12:50 PM PDT

I have a couple of undesirable desktop icons that keep appearing after my delete, delete, delete throughout action and innumerable runs of spybot and adware....are there any suggestions as to how to get rid of these pests?

The normal method of removal is to click on the icon to open it, then follow the instruction to uninstall.

What icons ?
by Papa Echo / May 3, 2005 8:06 PM PDT

Are they shortcut icons (with the arrow) ? Right click>properties. What is in the "traget" box ? The "start in" box ? Or are they program icons ? Do you know what programs they represent ?
