JK, i need help (with a computer)

Help! I downloaded Fighter Ace (from download.com), on a Dell Inspiron (purchased i think last year, widescreen one), and it screwed it up. it runs superslow, and when you click sometimes it won't respond. My dad is mad now. I un-installed it, however, it worked perfectly (with no sluggishness) on my Toshiba Tecra and Sony Vaio.

How do i fix this WITHOUT reloading XP.

I don't want to, having the trouble of backing up on a hard drive, etc. I did it once on a vaio and twice on my laptop.

I believe you're thinking of Repair Installation and/or System Recovery, which is where Windows is reloaded. What Wayne is suggesting is System Restore, which is where you simply roll back your computer to the desired date prior to making the system changes. In most cases that would correct any problems that came as a result of installing a program. It does not affect your personal files, so there's no need for a full system backup, and no long process afterwards as you're not reinstalling Windows...the whole process takes a few minutes with no 'clean up' afterwards.

Hope this helps,
John

System Restore Like This..
Mar 1, 2006 12:58AM PST

Click on Start-All Programs-Accessories-System Tools-System Restore. When the System Restore window loads, select "Restore my computer to a an earlier time", then click on "Next". At the "calendar" page, choose a bold date prior to the installation of the game, then follow the prompts to restore and restart the computer.

Hope this helps.
