cyberpower pcs are pretty ok. however, i think i would buy from emachines as i feel they are more reliable. ive heard of ppl having problems with cyberpower pcs.
however cyberpower pcs are customizable while emachines is not. and definitely look cool! However if u consider getting one choose a athlon 64 rather than a pentium 4 and also choose a good power supply and a motherboard with a pci express x16 slot for a video card upgrade.
Suggest getting radeon x300se as ur beginning video card. It is compatible with the radeon 9600se.
i'm looking to replace my broken down sony desktop. i first started pricing the entry-level dells and was turned-off by their aggresive sales approach. i then found that emachines offered alot more product in the under $500 range. they seem to get only favorable reviews for performance and reliability. then i discovered cyberpower pc's in the consumer mags. they almost seem to be too good to be true. cyberpower offers considerably more speed and memory (although, in an athlon format) than emachines. is this true or just a ruse on the part of cyberpower?
