I am looking to buy a new desktop, but was hoping to get away with spending under $500 without buying junk? Anyone know of where to look or brands/manufactuers to suggest?
thanks

I had an '03 model eMachines with a 1.6 gig AMD processor and 128 MB DDR RAM and I hooked up on the same table where this HP pc is now and it was just as fast. This HP was bought new in Jan. 05 and has a 2.93 gig processor and 256 megs of ram, go figure. I am wondering if i gave my sis the wrong pc..............
