Is there a "undelete" program in windows xp? that I can use to reclaim a file? thank you for any info.

not calling you an idiot or anything but did u check the recycle bin?

if i'm the idiot for asking then there should be bazillions of undelete programs all over the internet

because even though you deleted the file from the recycle bin it'l still be there for a long while until it deteriorates

one of computers many oddities

google undelete

or use the gentelmen's links above

undelete that was built into windows died long ago in the windows 3.11/DOS era with the release of windows 95 and recycle bin

so the internet is your best bet
