What error?

Can you say what you mean by unblocking zip files?

Normally if a file is in zip format, (eg myfile.zip), either Windows or WinZip will start the process of extracting the files included in the zip file when you double click it.

Where does this go wrong for you, and what error messages do you see?

Where do these compressed, (zip), files come from?

What .REG file?

1.Search it you'll know what I mean by the .REG and such

2.the intergrated .ZIP extractor just says that windows has block the file for my protection, but when I go to the properties and and unblock it it still does it.

3.They all say that The file cannot be found as if the file had to be on the desktop to be extracted >.>

Good luck.

I am not the one seeking help and guidance, so "Search it you'll know what I mean by the .REG and such" means nothing.

Good luck in your search for a solution.

1. It's really not clear at all what 'that reg-file' is. Read the whole thread and maybe you'll understand why. Moreover, it's unclear why you would use any.

2. With unblocking the file you mean pressing the Unblock button shown in the picture nearly halfway http://www.hanselman.com/blog/RemovingSecurityFromDownloadedPowerShellScriptsWithAlternativeDataStreams.aspx, I assume. That should work.

3. "They all say": what do you mean with "all". Probably you're doing something wrong because the file seems to be somewhere. But as you don't tell what you do, it's impossible to say.

OK, wait a minute . . .

Searching, as you suggested, and I used Google, for .reg, gave 151,000,000 hits.

If you want help you have to be a little more specific. Assuming something here, reg refers to the registry. Unless you're registry certified (as in you know what you're doing), I'd leave it alone.

Now, to your .zip files. I've been around a long time and I've never seen or heard of Windows locking/blocking a .zip file. Are you sure it's Windows and not your AV software? Maybe Windows Defender?
