unaccessible boot device

Jun 4, 2005 11:24AM PDT

Hi all, I have a question to pose to any computer 'gurus' who may be out there! I need serious help! i just bought a 'bare bones' computer, which means i bought a 'motherboard' and computer shell without the cd-rom, floppy or hard drive! i installed all of the missing components and it finally started the reboot process, however, it would not finish and thus after the 'Windows 2000 screen, which wouldn't load all the way, it showed the infamous blue screen saying, 'unaccessible boot device'! i know idea what to do! i went into bios and set-up the reboot order: CD-RW, Floppy then hard drive! was that the wrong order? i know my hard drive is not corrupted because i just used it before taking it out of another computer! also, the system is not recognizing the floppy, only the CD-RW & hardrive! HELP!!!!!!!!!! email: icemanmba@hotmail.com Specs: 320 RAM, Windows 2000 OS, 80 GB hardrive!

Posting your email address in the clear lets SPAM ROBOTS pick it up and fill your email box.

Ask for this post to be removed and it will be.

In closing, Windows 2000 will have to be reinstalled, then all the lovely drivers.
