problems but if you keep your OS X software up to date you should be OK.
That said, the recent JAVA update from Apple, Apple now have control over updating JAVA, disabled the JAVA functionality in Safari. By default JAVA support is off in Safari, it can be turned back on again if needed but will turn itself off again once Safari sees that it is not in use any more. It turns on and off in Safari Preferences/Security.
That your Flash player stopped functioning may just be a coincidence. Download and install the latest version of Flash Player for your version of OS X.
Let us know how you get on

Recently did a security/software update 2012 as well as a Safari update from Apple on an Imac 10.6 . Since then unable to view Youtube or any video related news. Why has the software update removed the Adobe Flash Player? There is also an software update for Java which I am doubtful. There was something in the internet about Java or Adobe which might have serious and damaging consequence to Mac when using them.
Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks
